Surface mount vs. recessed — which is right for me?

Surface mount attaches directly to the wall — no cutting required, easier to install, works on any wall type including tile. The cabinet protrudes 4–6″ from the wall surface.

Recessed mount sits flush inside the wall for a sleek, built-in look. It requires cutting an opening between studs (typically 16″ apart) and is not suitable for walls with plumbing, electrical, or insulation in the cavity. Recessed cabinets are the preferred choice in a renovation or new build.
